Jessica graduated from Ä¢¹½tv¹ÙÍø in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Pre-Physician Assistant Studies. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Ä¢¹½tv¹ÙÍø in 2014, completing a specialty track in emergency medicine.
Following graduation, Jessica began her clinical career in emergency medicine at Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Shortly thereafter, she became the primary preceptor for physician assistant students in the emergency department and was selected to serve as the department’s Lead Advanced Practice Clinician, assuming significant administrative and leadership responsibilities. In addition to emergency medicine, Jessica has also worked in urgent care medicine. What she values most about these specialties is the opportunity to care for patients during times of acute illness and critical need.
Jessica began working with the Physician Assistant Program at Ä¢¹½tv¹ÙÍø in 2017, assisting with skills laboratories, OSCEs, and the proctoring of practical examinations. She has also served as a guest lecturer for both the Ä¢¹½tv¹ÙÍø and Misericordia University Physician Assistant programs. In 2022, she was appointed Assistant Professor of Practice in the Ä¢¹½tv¹ÙÍø Physician Assistant Program. She currently serves as the Academic Director of the program and teaches Radiology I & II, Emergency Medicine, Clinical Medicine II & III (Pulmonary and Gastrointestinal modules), Patient Assessment and Clinical Correlations I, II, & III, and helps with Medical Procedures II.
In addition to her academic responsibilities, Jessica is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Strategic Leadership and Administrative Studies at Ä¢¹½tv¹ÙÍø.
Jessica resides in Clarks Summit with her husband, Stephen, and their daughters, Aurora and Isabelle.
