Add News Rolls across the website with 3 feed varieties:

  • NewsRoll I
  • NewsRoll II - Was this intentionally removed?
  • Featured

IMPORTANT: If alternating between 'Featured' and 'Newsroll I' option you will need to reselect the feed categorie(s).

Category Selection

  • You may select more than one category for news stories to pair with News Widget Use.
  • Marketing needs to tag the “category” on the newswidgets.
  • Use the “limit” field to limit the number of news posts that can be displayed (minimum 1 - maximum 3) this is specific to the “Featured” news type. Default limit is 1.
1. Every article, no categories: 9/13/22 Marketing Tested Works in part not really fully functioning. Not sure it is necessary.
I modified the code to add this feature. When the category is empty, the widget should output all the news stories.  Please note that, in order to show ALL the news stories, the "limit" field should be set to 0. 
(The dotcms query works in a way that 0 means ALL and other integers such as 1 or 2 means 1 and 2.) 
2. Every article, all categories: Set the limit field to 0 and select all the categories. This way you can output all the articles.
